Players in 1st Grade
The Rookie Prep division continues to focus on fun and fundamentals while taking a big step forward in real game play. Coaches will handle pitching duties and provide instruction from the field, as players incorporate more aggressive base running, 3 out innings and real scorekeeping.
There is typically one practice and one game per week. Practices are run by professional development coaches with assistance from volunteer coaches.
Players are expected to provide their own helmet, bat, glove and water bottle, baseball pants and cleats are recommended.
We encourage all players from Pre-K to Second grade to register for our program based on grade. Exceptions are rarely granted unless one more more of the following conditions are met.
1) The child is older than the normal age cut off for their grade;
2) The players hitting and throwing abilities pose a threat to the other players in their grade;
3) Their ability is considered to be exceptionally above their grade as determined by the player agent.
Playing at the level above the designated grade requires the approval of the Player Agent.
